A Backyard Gathering Space Designed for Everyday Living

This residential landscape design and build project was created to support everyday living while offering inviting spaces for gathering, relaxation, and outdoor enjoyment. The design focuses on comfort, functionality, and balance—bringing together structured hardscape elements with softened planting to create a space that feels natural and lived in.

The backyard is anchored by a custom fire pit, creating a warm focal point for conversation and evening use. A wood pergola defines the primary seating area, offering shade and structure while maintaining an open, welcoming atmosphere. Paver patios establish clear gathering zones and provide durable, low-maintenance surfaces for daily use.

Planting beds and turf areas were integrated to soften the hardscape and add texture, color, and seasonal interest throughout the space. The overall layout was carefully planned to feel cohesive and approachable—designed not only for special occasions, but for everyday moments spent outdoors.

The project also included a thoughtfully designed front yard featuring a clean paver walkway, gravel, and low-maintenance planting to create a welcoming and cohesive approach to the home. Together, the front and backyard designs create a unified outdoor environment that feels comfortable, functional, and designed for everyday living.
